This one will stay with me for a very long time. The title, the shirt, the single Greek word under the letters, the message. I swallowed hard and took one long breath in. Congratulations. This cartoon is seared into my memory.
I've followed political cartoonists for more than twenty years, and "Greek" just became the most memorable one I've seen. It says in a few lines what pages of commentary struggle to say, and it never flinches from the topic. That takes real commitment and real courage.
I can't help asking one thing: is the figure meant to be a woman? The answer makes little difference to how hard this hit me. It just looked like it might be.
Thank you for your incredible work and for what you've added to this conversation. You've outdone yourself.
Gary,
